Animation Two -
Schneider Electric

My direct contributions to this video design was all art & creative direction, producer, script writer and maintained corporate branding. I also worked with the outsourced animator to create the storyboards and artwork.

PROBLEM

As a Producer at Schneider Electric (SE), I worked with various Global Businesses to provide video and animated content. This project was for the Power Global Business and specifically their Partner Marketing team.

As an SE employee working with this Global Business, I have a basic understanding of the product. I initially coordinate with an internal Account Manager to get project insights and work closely with SMEs form the Global Business to get detailed insight. This project was unique because it was targeted to global partners.

PROCESS

  • Meet with Account Manager to get understanding of project scope, budget, timeline.

  • Receive Creative Brief outlining details of the project.

  • Meet with SME to understand details of the product.

  • Message outline.

  • Copy refinement to script.

  • Sketches and creative concept.

  • Production with animator.

  • Coordinate voice talent and music tracks.

  • Revisions and review with SME through completion.

DELIVERY

This video was used for email campaigns and the partner marketing website. It was eventually used for partner marketing events.

OUTCOME

Great response from client Partner Marketing Team they had not received much video content in the past.

RESPONSE

Our Partner Marketing team was very pleased they could offer our partners a unique experience for such a high-profile product. Of course the Product Team loved we pulled this off because our partner efforts had not included animated videos.

BARRIERS

  • As the producer for these projects, I also needed to act as the Account Manager after the project get handed-off to me. In this case, getting additional insights and details from the Partner Marketing team of the Global Business was required to get complete partner information.

  • The review and approval process had many stakeholders as it crossed the Partner Team and the Product Team.
